This northern Italian grape with Syrah parentage is seldom seen vinified as a single varietal. It is ripe and fruit-forward with aromas of bing cherry, black olives, anise, leather, and toasty French oak. Firm and ripe mouth-feel with bright acidity and flavors of cherry and candied apple.
